DAMPAK MONITORING BBPVP BEKASI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI CALON TENAGA KERJA TERHADAP KETAHANAN PRIBADI SISWA

Abstract


This article wants to describe the role of the Bekasi Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP) in preparing prospective skilled workers by looking further at the training process, constraints, and the impact of the process, especially on the readiness of trainee students to enter the world of work. In this study, the theories used are role theory, human capital theory, competency theory, and human development theory. This research approach is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely observations, interviews, documentation and literature. Data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study show (1) BBPVP Bekasi in carrying out the training process has fulfilled the management function (2) Factors that cause BBPVP Bekasi is not optimal: Mismatch of BBPVP Bekasi training with industry needs, heterogeneous input of training participants  educational background and age, and  student personality factors, especially from local communities whose interest and motivation to work is low; (3) BBPVP Bekasi's efforts to overcome obstacles, namely the Synergy of BBPVP Bekasi with alumni users, a more optimal OJT program, and student competency certification; (4) Increasing student competence is proven to have implications for the formation of student personal resilience, with indicators of students having competencies (hard skills  & soft skills), work competency certification, having a permanent job and having a fixed income.
